Tang Zhigang  唐志冈 was born in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.

 

He grew up in a military family.

 

 

 

After high school, he joined the the People's Liberation Army and he continued  

 

to paint expressionistic portraits.

1979

He was sent to Vietnam for combat-action.

 

 

1989

He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Art from the People's Liberation Army.
